ABOUT
The Founder of Mindful Communities™
Creating Mindful Communities was officially established in New York in 2019, at the intersection of mindfulness, education, and human transformation.
The Mindful Communities™ Approach draws on eleven years of experience working with educators and school communities in high-pressure environments.

THE FOUNDER
Nathalie Monin Voelker was born in Paris. She spent her early years between French Guiana and Paris before moving to New York, where she lived for 17 years. Her journey has unfolded across different places, cultures, and ways of seeing the world.
These experiences taught her that our ability to move forward depends deeply on the quality of the connections we cultivate—with ourselves, with others, and with the environments to which we belong.
As a Program Facilitator with Mindful Schools, Nathalie trained more than 700 educators worldwide through online programs and facilitated retreats at the Garrison Institute in New York State.
These experiences strengthened a central conviction: an intervention becomes truly meaningful when it goes beyond delivering content and enables people to make it their own and bring it to life within their particular environment.
“Working with Nathalie Monin Voelker, I consistently experienced her ability to create spaces where people from diverse backgrounds felt welcomed, seen, and invited into mindfulness in a way that was accessible and relevant to their lived experiences. She has a beautiful way of connecting reflection to real life and helping participants move from awareness into meaningful, practical action.”
